i surrport woodrow wilson's fourteen points. so i am not really fond of the terms of the TOV, i do not agree with the TOV.. The terms are simply too harsh.. the peparations were simply crazy, it was impossible for germany to pay such a huge sum of money.. it would take many generations to pay up.. 6.6 billion pounds!!!!!! this would affect the future generations as it was the ambitous kasier which brough germany into the war.. so it is not fair for the future generations to pay for wad the previous leaders wad done... germany too had suffered greaty too... although germany was the the most agressive country and caused lots of chaos, the treaty should be fair.. by taking away their colonies and many important lands, it was unfair as they needed all the land they needed to recover from the war.. we must stop all these, and i think the fourteen points is a good way to do it.. i still do not understand why the other leaders hated germany till this extent... we must learn to forgive and forget in order to achive world peace.. i lost all my loved one i ever cared for, but i am still asble to sympatise the germans and not want them to be treated so badly.. i still hate them for destorying everything i have.. but just imagine, if u were in that state, will u like it???
thats why i do not agree with the terms of th TOV.. i feel that this will create more hate in the germans and this coulds somehow lead to another conflict and thus to another war..... this would be very bad as the whole of europe will not be happy even though the fighting has stop...
thinking of it, its all the kasier's fault!!!!! DARN THE KASIER!!!!!!!!!!

I am a citizen of USA, lost my husband and my sons......
Althought the Treaty of Versailles does not do me any good, it will still serve
as a punishment to Germany! And that is what i call justice. If losing my family
is alright for them, why can't it be alright for them if they pay for all the damages that they have cause? It is only fair.
And the Fourteen Points that President Woodrow Wilson worked out is just a fantastic way to peace out with the Germans.
Although i wont be surprised that the Germans would try to fight back , they would only lose out again. So there is no choice but to follow the rules of the treaty.

Since I lost so many things due to the war, I hope that the Treaty of Versailles will be able to restore peace and order most importantly.Everyone should be happy and agree on the terms of the treaty. If there was a country that was unhappy, it would only cause more hatred. So i felt that Woodrow's fourteen points was more ideal and fair to achieve peace. If there was no fairness, people will become unhappy and there would not be peace. I feel that the Treaty of Versailles was too harsh to Germany and was not ideal to achieve peace as Germany was angry and a major conflict may happen anytime. I hope that people will come to surpport me as i do not want another war and for people to suffer like i have. I had lost my husband... My sons.... I reiceved letters from my husband telling me about the conditions of the war. its was terrible. till the day he left me......

I am relief that war has finally ended and there was a stop in killings.
I lost my husband and 3 sons due to the war.
My mother was killed in my house when at was bombed by a german plane.
I had a burning anger wiht the germans for what they have did. I lost everything.....
The war came to an end with the signing of the Treaty Of the Versailles. i was happy that i would not have to live in fear anyomre.
i supported woodrow wilson greatly as i believed he helped USA a lot. I also greatly supported his idea of this fourteen points. However the allies did not agree to that treay. To me, i think they made a mistake......
Treaty Of the Versailles:
1. Open covenants of peace, openly arrived at, after which there shall be no private international understandings of any kind but diplomacy shall proceed always frankly and in the public view.
2. Absolute freedom of navigation upon the seas, outside territorial waters, alike in peace and in war, except as the seas may be closed in whole or in part by international action for the enforcement of international covenants.
3. The removal, so far as possible, of all economic barriers and the establishment of an equality of trade conditions among all the nations consenting to the peace and associating themselves for its maintenance.
4. Adequate guarantees given and taken that national armaments will be reduced to the lowest point consistent with domestic safety.
5. A free, open-minded, and absolutely impartial adjustment of all colonial claims, based upon a strict observance of the principle that in determining all such questions of sovereignty the interests of the populations concerned must have equal weight with the equitable claims of the government whose title is to be determined.
6. The evacuation of all Russian territory and such a settlement of all questions affecting Russia as will secure the best and freest cooperation of the other nations of the world in obtaining for her an unhampered and unembarrassed opportunity for the independent determination of her own political development and national policy and assure her of a sincere welcome into the society of free nations under institutions of her own choosing; and, more than a welcome, assistance also of every kind that she may need and may herself desire. The treatment accorded Russia by her sister nations in the months to come will be the acid test of their good will, of their comprehension of her needs as distinguished from their own interests, and of their intelligent and unselfish sympathy.
7. Belgium, the whole world will agree, must be evacuated and restored, without any attempt to limit the sovereignty which she enjoys in common with all other free nations. No other single act will serve as this will serve to restore confidence among the nations in the laws which they have themselves set and determined for the government of their relations with one another. Without this healing act the whole structure and validity of international law is forever impaired.
8. All French territory should be freed and the invaded portions restored, and the wrong done to France by Prussia in 1871 in the matter of Alsace-Lorraine, which has unsettled the peace of the world for nearly fifty years, should be righted, in order that peace may once more be made secure in the interest of all.
9. A readjustment of the frontiers of Italy should be effected along clearly recognizable lines of nationality.
10. The peoples of Austria-Hungary, whose place among the nations we wish to see safeguarded and assured, should be accorded the freest opportunity of autonomous development.
11. Rumania, Serbia, and Montenegro should be evacuated; occupied territories restored; Serbia accorded free and secure access to the sea; and the relations of the several Balkan states to one another determined by friendly counsel along historically established lines of allegiance and nationality; and international guarantees of the political and economic independence and territorial integrity of the several Balkan states should be entered into.
12. The Turkish portions of the present Ottoman Empire should be assured a secure sovereignty, but the other nationalities which are now under the Turkish rule should be assured an undoubted security of life and an absolutely unmolested opportunity of autonomous development, and the Dardanelles should be permanently opened as a free passage to the ships and commerce of all nations under international guarantees.
13. An independent Polish state should be erected which should include the territories inhabited by indisputably Polish populations, which should be assured a free and secure access to the sea, and whose political and economic independence and territorial integrity should be guaranteed by international covenant.
14. A general association of nations must be formed under specific covenants for the purpose of affording mutual guarantees of political independence and territorial integrity to great and small states alike.
Although USA only entered the war at the later part, we still suffered badly from it
The country was in a chaos after the war and the economy was badly effected. I HATE WAR!! I lost everything i loved.......
